Tiger Woods is set to make his return to the PGA Tour at the Frys.com Open at CordeValle Golf Club in San Martin, CA. Woods, a Calfornia native, makes his first start since the PGA Championship in the second PGA Tour Fall Series event of the 2011 PGA fall season. Tiger has a new caddy in tow, Joe LaCava, the recent former caddy of Dustin Johnson and long-time caddy for Fred Couples. Many questioned the method by which Woods hired LaCava away from Johnson, but the deal is done and this week should be a great return to the Tour for Woods who is preparing for the President’s Cup. Coverage begins this Thursday on Golf Channel from 4 pm to 8 pm ET.
Las Vegas resident Kevin Na held off charging Nick Watney to win his first PGA Tour event in 210 tries over an 8 year career. Na putted his way to victory with a key par on 14 and shot 65 to win by two strokes over Watney.
